web2print Desktop
Hot folders on your shop computers. Drop files into a folder and they go to the studio; finished files come back to the folder or Windows share your RIP watches. Windows, Mac and Linux.
For Windows
Windows 10 or newer, 64-bit. Installs for you only, no admin password.
- Open the download and double-click Install.cmd. It puts web2print Desktop in your Start menu.
- If Windows says "Windows protected your PC", click More info, then Run anyway. New programs get that screen until enough people have run them.
- Open web2print Desktop from the Start menu and enter the code from the studio: Account, Computers, Connect a computer. Or click Open in the app there and skip the typing.
For Mac
macOS 11 or newer. One app for Apple silicon and Intel.
- Open the download and open web2print Desktop. It offers to move itself to your Applications folder; say yes.
- If macOS will not open it because it cannot check the developer: on macOS 15, open System Settings, Privacy & Security, and click Open Anyway. On earlier versions, right-click the app and choose Open. Once is enough.
- Enter the code from the studio: Account, Computers, Connect a computer. Or click Open in the app there and skip the typing.
For Linux
Ubuntu 22.04 or newer, 64-bit. Other desktop Linux works too.
No sign-in on the computer
The computer connects to your workspace with a one-time code, and uses one of your workspace's seats only while it runs. You can disconnect it from the studio at any time.
Every download
Same version on every system. Each file has a checksum beside it.
Updating
Install the new version over the old one. Your hot folders, outputs and share sign-ins stay as they are.
